The Irish forward had an impressive match for Leeds United’s development side this week.
Leeds United’s under-21s got back to winning ways when they overcame their Bristol City counterparts 3-0 on Monday afternoon and one of their key contributors has since taken to Twitter to celebrate.
The young side won courtesy of a goal from Casper Sloth and a brace from 18-year-old striker Frank Mulhern, who replaced summer signing Lee Erwin at half-time.
Leeds fans may have been particularly interested to see how recent addition Jordan Botaka did after he was named in the starting line-up, and the former Excelsior winger caught the eye with some fine efforts of his own and the assist that led to Sloth’s opener.
Shortly after, Mulhern got his quick-fire double and he was clearly happy with his efforts at the final whistle.
Writing on social media, the Leeds youngster said, “Good win and performance from the lads today; glad to come on and get a couple of goals as well.”
Leeds lost 3-1 to Millwall last time out so it was good for the young side to get a victory under their belts and particularly good for Mulhern, who showed he could be set for a very good season at this level.
