Allan has signed a pre-contract with Hibs that will see him leave Celtic in the summer.

Frank McAvennie has told Open Goal’s Right In The Coupon that Celtic midfielder Scott Allan should leave the club in the next six days – rather than joining Hibernian in the summer.
Allan, 27, has signed a pre-contract agreement that will see the attacking midfielder return to Hibernian at the end of his Celtic contract, which expires at the end of the current season.
It means former Hibs loanee Allan will remain at Parkhead, despite having failed to make a single appearance for Celtic this season. He has managed to make the bench just three times during Champions League qualification.
Allan spent the second half of last season on loan at Hibs, where he scored three goals and created five more but it was not enough to tempt Brendan Rodgers into playing him. McAvennie believes Allan should leave now, rather than wait.
“The boy, Scott Allan, he’s going at the end of the season,” McAvennie said. “They should take him now because he’s not going to get a game for Celtic. I would let him go now.”

Allan has managed 17 appearances for Celtic since joining the club from Hibernian in the summer of 2015. He has produced five assists and picked up a Scottish Premiership’s winners’ medal.
In his 55 outings for Hibs, Allan has an excellent record of notching 22 assists, more than one every three games. He has also scored six goals. It remains to be seen if Celtic will allow Hibs to sign him now.
