Scott Brown is an important player for Celtic.

The former Celtic striker believes that Brown will be used sparingly by manager Neil Lennon during the 2018-19 campaign.
McAvennie, though, believes that the 33-year-old former Scotland international will still be a major influence on the team.
McAvennie told The Scottish Sun: “I don’t expect Scott Brown to play every week, either. He’ll still be a huge influence on everything that goes on but I think he’ll be used more sparingly.”

Important player for Celtic
Brown has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million.
The 33-year-old is the Celtic captain, and the midfielder signed a new contract with the Glasgow giants in January 2019 which will see him stay at Celtic Park until 2021.
The Scotsman is going as strong as ever, and given his quality and performances in the big games, Celtic manager Lennon will certainly use him in key fixtures in Scotland and in Europe.
Celtic have won the domestic treble in Scotland for the past three seasons.
