As announced on Rangers’ official website, Jones will join Rangers in the summer of 2019 on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old winger – now on the books of Kilmarnock – has put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement with Rangers.
Former Celtic striker McAvennie believes that the Northern Ireland international winger will be a good signing for Rangers.
McAvennie said about Jones on Open Goal: “He is a decent player. He could really be a step-up.”

Good signing for Rangers
Jones is a very good winger who has been playing well for Kilmarnock this season, and the 24-year-old will be a good signing for Rangers.
The former Middlesbrough prospect has made 26 starts and three substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Kilmarnock so far this season, scoring four goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
The winger will be a good addition to Rangers squad and will aid in their quest to win the Scottish Premiership title next season.
