Doubts are beginning to arise over the Celtic future of manager Brendan Rodgers.

Frank McAvennie has told radio station Love Sport that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers would be an excellent fit at West Ham United, with doubts beginning to arise over his future in Scotland.
Rodgers has become frustrated with a lack of backing from the board, while a bad week has turned into a horrendous one after losses to Hearts and then AEK Athens means the Hoops have been knocked out of the Champions League.
The situation surrounding defender Dedryck Boyata has also added fuel to the fire, with the player claiming he was not fit enough to play against AEK but Rodgers has since told media that he was fine.
McAvennie, who played for both West Ham and Celtic during his career, believes Rodgers would be a good fit for West Ham and if Rodgers does indeed leave the Hoops, he would consider him for Manuel Pellegrini’s eventual replacement.
“If he is going to leave Celtic, I would want him to go to West Ham,” McAvennie said. “They’ve got Manuel Pellegrini in now and the board have backed him which is great, because if you’re a manager you want to get backed.
“To be fair to the West Ham board, they’ve backed him. But I think Brendan could have been an excellent manager for West Ham, because he likes to get the ball down and play.”

Rodgers has been a sensation as a manager since arriving in Scotland in the summer of 2016, continuing Celtic’s pursuit of 10 in a row by taking them to seven consecutive titles. Celtic have won the treble for the past two seasons.
They have also reached the Champions League group stage on both occasions, but now must fight it out to gain a place in the Europa League group stage – against Lithuanian side Suduva or Latvian outfit Spartaks Jurmala.
