Derby County were rampant against West Bromwich Albion in the Championship last night.

Derby boss Frank Lampard spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s superb 4-1 away win at West Brom last night, but stopped short of heaping too much praise on his players, highlighting one thing in particular that disappointed him about their performance, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The Rams now sit in fifth spot in the Championship table, having chalked up two consecutive league wins, and they are just two points adrift of league leaders Leeds United.
Lampard’s new ideas and philosophies are slowly beginning to bear fruit on the pitch, and many fans and pundits are now backing Derby to gain promotion back to the Premier League this season.
The Rams boss spoke to reporters after last night’s win, and shared how his side could have been even more clinical in front of goal at the Hawthorns, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“We realised early in the game that when the ball turned over we could break quickly. There were times when we didn’t so maybe there were more goals for us. We could have killed the game in the first half. No disrespect to West Brom who could have scored one or two more themselves but we could have had more. We should have had three by half-time.”
Next up for Derby is a trip to Middlesbrough on Saturday, and Tony Pulis’ side will represent another tough examination for Lampard’s men.
