Chelsea and England legend Frank Lampard raved about Spurs, and their performances of late, highlighting five key areas where Mauricio Pochettino’s side have really impressed him this season, when speaking on BBC’s Match of the Day programme on Saturday April 15th.
Tottenham deserve great credit for the manner in which they have gone about their business this season, and currently sit in second position in the table, just four points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.
The Blues do have a game in hand, however, away at Manchester United this afternoon, and a win for Antonio Conte’s men would stretch their lead back to seven.
Whatever happens this season though, the Lilywhites must be proud of their efforts, and the way that they continue to push Chelsea must give their supporters genuine reason to believe that they can achieve anything.
And Lampard shared why he loves watching Pochettino’s men in action, when speaking on BBC’s Match of the Day programme yesterday:
“Spurs were fantastic. They dominated the game in every department from beginning to end. They are playing with a real confidence, real youth in their team, a lot of pace, their movement and passing. They were a joy to watch.”
Next up for the North Londoners is their FA Cup semi final clash against none other than the league leaders, and they could strike quite the psychological blow in the title race with a victory at Wembley on Saturday.
