The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has struggled for form so far this season.

When writing his regular column for the Evening Standard, Chelsea legend Frank Lampard offered Spurs ace Dele Alli some words of advice, and suggested a potential reason why the youngster has struggled to find his best form so far this season.
The 21-year-old has so far failed to hit the heights he reached last term, and many fans and pundits believe that it is because he has received more attention from opposition players, after his incredible exploits of last year.
The England international’s temperament has always been called into question, and it will be vitally important for him to keep his cool, when being provoked by his opponents, although he doesn’t want to completely lose that side of his game.

Another potential reason why he has struggled this term is the talk surrounding a possible new deal with Tottenham, and his change of agent – two things that Lampard highlighted when writing his regular column for the Evening Standard:
“The talk about a new contract and change of agent could be a distraction. It’s up to him and his family to sort out. Decisions are not easy at that age. All I can say from experience is that when you’re playing, particularly when you’re just making a name for yourself, the more you can cut out talk about the commercial side and agents the better.”

Next up for Spurs is their huge clash with Real Madrid in the Champions League at Wembley tonight, and they will need Dele to be at his brilliant best, if they are to stand any chance of beating the reigning European champions.
