Frank Lampard has spoken about Leeds United’s Marcelo Bielsa & compared him with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino, among others.

Derby County manager Frank Lampard has laid into Marcelo Bielsa for his hour-long presentation by stating he ‘gave an impression’ the likes of Mauricio Pochettino, Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola don’t give in public.
The Leeds Head Coach, who admitted to spying on every team his side has played this season, called an unplanned press briefing on Wednesday afternoon where he spoke about how he researches the opposition.
During that press conference, Bielsa explained to the journalists how his team analysed Derby prior to their Championship clash last Friday.
After Lampard’s side had knocked Southampton out of the FA Cup on Wednesday evening, the former Chelsea man gave a stern answer when asked whether Bielsa gave an impression that he knew a lot about his team.
“He gave an impression,” Lampard told Sky Sports. “I haven’t seen Pep Guardiola give that impression, Jurgen Klopp give that, Mauricio Pochettino give that. They do it behind closed doors definitely, but they don’t do it to the public.
“Yeah [everyone does research] it’s really simple. It’s probably a nice eye-opener for the fan to see it because most of this stuff happens behind closed doors.
“But they are done everywhere, there’s no amazement from anyone who works in football.”

Prior to Leeds’ 2-0 win over Derby last Friday, Bielsa admitted that he sent a member of his staff to spy or watch Lampard’s team train the day before.
As quoted by BBC Sport, the Argentine’s actions were described as ‘unethical’ by his managerial counterpart.
Leeds are currently sitting top of the Championship table, four points ahead of second-placed Sheffield United and third-placed Norwich City.
The Yorkshire club will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table when they travel to Stoke City at the weekend.
