Derby County are said to be considering appointing Frank Lampard this summer.

Derby are on the look out for a new manager, following the departure of Gary Rowett to Stoke City.
Lampard has been heavily linked with with a move to Pride Park in recent times.

And the Chelsea legend certainly did little to play down the reports that he could take over at the Rams next season, when asked.
He said: “There’s been interest. I’ve been speaking with them. I’m ambitious. I want to be a manager at some point. It’s a big club, with big history and tradition, which I like. We’ll carry on speaking when I go home and we’ll see.”
Lampard has never managed before, but would be a high profile appointment for the Rams to make.

Derby are having to cut costs for next season, so Lampard would immediately be thrown in at the deep end.
Rowett led the Rams to the play offs over the past campaign, but was unable to get them over the line, and decided to move to Stoke instead.
Lampard was in the BT Studio with Steven Gerrard, who is also taking his first steps into management next season, after agreeing to take control at Rangers.
