Celtic winger Patrick Roberts impressed against Anderlecht in the Champions League last night.

Roberts was brought to Celtic from Manchester City during the summer transfer window, and Brendan Rodgers has shown great faith in the winger so far.
Roberts has perhaps not been as impactful as he was during his first loan spell at Parkhead yet, but the tricky wide-man was in great form last night.

Roberts scored Celtic’s second goal during their 3-0 victory over Anderlecht in the Champions League last night.
And Lampard believes that Roberts’ progression will be very well served by spending time at Celtic, as Brendan Rodgers is a great manager of developing players.
“He’s a good young player. Out on loan, doing his stuff there and he’s perfect to be under Brendan Rodgers,” the Chelsea legend said. “They’re really good to watch.”

Celtic’s victory over Anderlecht was hugely important, and it serves as a marker for how much progress the Bhoys have made since Rodgers’ took charge.
Celtic’s next two Champions League matches come against Bayern Munich, in what will be a further test of their quality.
