Joe Cole has said on talkSPORT (9:51am, June 25, 2021) that Chelsea legend Frank Lampard will not take the Tottenham Hotspur manager’s job even if Daniel Levy offers it to him.

Cole played with Lampard at Chelsea, who are massive London rivals of Tottenham.

Spurs are on the hunt for a new manager following the sacking of Jose Mourinho in April.

Earlier on the show on talkSPORT, former Manchester City winger Trevor Sinclair suggested Lampard as a possible candidate for the Tottenham managerial role.

Cole said about Lampard on talkSPORT (9:51am, June 25, 2021): “There’s no way he would take the Tottenham job. People would be mad at Tottenham to try to appoint Frank Lampard, let me tell you.”

Frank Lampard to Tottenham won’t happen

Tottenham and Chelsea are massive rivals, and it is almost impossible that Lampard will become the Spurs manager.

Ever.

Lampard is Chelsea through and through.

Yes, the former Chelsea boss is available now, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is not going to offer him the Tottenham job anytime soon.

While Lampard did a decent job at Chelsea, especially in his first season, he will know that moving to Spurs would not sit well with the Stamford Bridge faithful.

Tottenham fans will not want Lampard at their club either.

Sinclair may genuinely think that Lampard would fit in at Tottenham, but it is a no-go, just like Cole says.
