Frank Lampard was one of a number of Jack Harrison’s current and former teammates to send the Leeds winger praise on Instagram – after his hat-trick against West Ham. Leeds surprised West Ham, winning 3-2 in London.
Leeds came into the match sitting perilously above the relegation zone, with the team suffering a huge amount of injuries. It saw Marcelo Bielsa name a youthful bench, eight of the nine players were Under-23 players.
Leeds even suffered a double injury blow in the first half – both Adam Forshaw and Junior Firpo picking up muscle injuries. But it did not stop the Whites, who were a threat all afternoon and picked up the three points.
Albeit against the run of play, Leeds were lethal on the counter and having scored against Burnley – Harrison made it four Premier League goals in two games. His hat-trick has pushed Leeds up the table, into a safer 15th place.

Harrison had endured a tricky first half to the season, failing to score a Premier League goal before the turn of the year. That is, after eight goals and eight assists in his 36 league games last season.
But his four goals in two games will surely give him the confidence to kick on – especially, with a crucial bottom-half clash against Newcastle on Saturday. Lampard, David Villa and more praised the winger on Instagram.
