Everton are said to have made contact with Boca Juniors to sign Frank Fabra.

Frank Fabra could be a very smart signing for Everton, if they can pull it off in the summer transfer window.

According to reports in Argentina, on El Crack Deportivo, the Toffees are set to make a move for Fabra at the end of the season.

Everton are said to have already made contact with Boca Juniors for the left-back, and he could be a valuable addition.

Everton fans only have to look at the clubs who have previously tracked Fabra to see his worth.

Back in 2016, the Colombian was on the radar of some of the Premier League’s leading sides, with both Manchester United and Chelsea chasing the defender, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

As it turned out, United and Chelsea look elsewhere – but the fact Fabra was on both the title chaser’s radars is a show of his quality.

And Fabra could be an ideal addition for Everton to make, as he could solve a big problem for them.

Everton have struggled to find a left-back this season, with Cuco Martina playing much of the campaign in the position.

Martina has struggled and although the Toffees’ first-choice option in the role, Leighton Baines, is available again now there are doubts over his long-term fitness.

Fabra could have the ability to become a permanent fixture in Everton’s starting line-up, and given his attacking quality, the latest transfer rumours should be exciting for the Goodison Park crowd.
