Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers are looking for a permanent successor to Pedro Caixinha. Could former Gers defender Frank de Boer be the answer?

Rangers are looking for a new permanent manager following the departure of Pedro Caixinha in October.
Caixinha was dismissed from the Ibrox role due to a run of disappointing run of results in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Graeme Murty is in charge of the Ranger first team at the moment, and he seems to be doing a good job.

Former Palace manager De Boer has suggested that he would be open to the idea of managing his former club Rangers.
The former Netherlands international defender had a spell at Rangers in a playing capacity in 2004.
The 47-year-old was appointed the Palace manager in the summer of 2017, but the former Ajax and Inter Milan boss was dismissed after just four Premier League matches.

“As a player I played football for a while and the atmosphere was fantastic, you never know if it can come back,” De Boer quotes The Scottish Sun as saying. “We have to look at the possibilities, but they have not contacted yet.”
Rangers are fourth in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 24 points from 12 matches, six points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic.
According to Sky Bet, De Boer is 25/1 for the Rangers managerial role.
