Franco Vazquez looks set to leave Palermo this summer – and he’s responded to questions about joining Chelsea or Tottenham.

Palermo playmaker Franco Vazquez has been quoted by Mediagol as saying that ‘things are developing’ as he seeks a summer transfer.
Vazquez, 27, made a slow start to life at Palermo following a 2012 move from Argentinian side Belgrano, but has exploded into life during the last two seasons.
The attacking midfielder hit ten goals and ten assists in the 2014/15 season, and added another eight goals and seven assists to his name last term to cement himself as one of Serie A’s top stars.
Now though, after Palermo narrowly avoided relegation this past season, it seems that Vazquez is ready for a big move away – and he’s being linked with a host of clubs.
Mediagol report that Chelsea, Tottenham and West Bromwich Albion are all keen on Vazquez, whilst Gazzetta Dello Sport reported last week that AC Milan are also in the race for his signature.
The twice-capped Italian international has now been asked about the situation, and is quoted by Mediagol as saying that he will ‘100%’ be leaving Palermo this summer.
Vazquez was particularly asked about signing for Chelsea – with new manager Antonio Conte, currently Italian boss, no doubt aware of Vazquez – or Tottenham, and his response was that ‘things are developing’.
However, he is leaving his future in the hands of his agent, and would be happy with a move to either England or Italy this summer.
“Do I know anything about Tottenham and Chelsea? Well, I know how things are developing, however, my agent is taking care of events and the truth is that at present I have not signed anything,” said Vazquez. “100% I will not be a player of Palermo next year. Continue my career in Italy or in the Premier League? I would like both the first and the second option,” he added.
