Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with two Roma stars.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked this week once again with two of Roma’s home grown talents.
Sky Italia report Spurs want Lorenzo Pellegrini, who has a £27 million release clause, while Sky Italia also claim it would cost the Premier League side £63 million to sign Nicolo Zaniolo.
Roma are a club with a history of holding onto their best academy players, see Francesco Totti and Daniele de Rossi.
But this summer Roma have lost both, with De Rossi released and Totti this week stepping down as director.
Totti’s exit was marred by a powerful statement attacking the club he loves.

He was quoted by BBC Sport: “The main focus of certain people has been to remove Romans from Roma. In the end, the truth came out, because they achieved what they wanted.”
Roma missed out on the Champions League this past season and all is not well at the club, who have just appointed a new manager.
Tottenham may well be admirers of Nicolo Zaniolo, but selling him is now going to be a politically incendiary move from Roma towards their supports.
Rome-born Pellegrini is a different situation due to his release clause. If it is met, Roma are in a weak position, but can still try and convince him to agree an extension or reject any offers which come his way.
