Newcastle and France midfielder Moussa Sissoko scored to help guide France to an emphatic 5-2 win over Switzerland.
Hugo Lloris 7 – For large parts of the game he had very little to do, swept well to put off strikers and couldn’t do much about the two goals.
Matthieu Debuchy 5 – Had a very poor game, gave the ball away often, rash challenges and played Switzerland’s second goal onside.
Raphaël Varane 7 – Very solid at the back shut out any Switzerland attack to make it easy for France.
Mamadou Sakho 6 – Didn’t look very sharp and looked like he was prone to making mistakes.
Patrice Evra 6 – Did manage to get forward well but really should’ve scored when he got his opportunity.
Moussa Sissoko 7 – Looked a real force in midfield, drove forward well and got a goal to cap his excellent performance.
Yohan Cabaye 7 – Partnered Sissoko brilliantly and bridged that gap between midfield and attack.
Blaise Matuidi 8 – Matuidi seems to be just getting better and better every time he plays, his pace makes it impossible for defences to handle and he took his goal well.
Mathieu Valbuena 8 – Caused all sorts of trouble for the Swiss defence, and was another of the frenchman who scored.
Olivier Giroud 8 – Started the onslaught with his fantastic header, leapt high to power his header into the far corner.
Karim Benzama 9 – Man of the match. Despite missing a penalty Benzema had a brilliant game, grabbing a couple of assists and a goal for himself in the end.
