France boss Didier Deschamps showed his faith in midfielder Moussa Sissoko this week as he handed him a start in their World Cup qualifier.
Sissoko had not featured at all for Newcastle prior to him being sold to Tottenham Hotspur, and his new club will be weighing up whether to start him this weekend away to Stoke City.

The midfielder lasted 70 minutes of the 0-0 away draw at Belarus, and Deschamps admitted he did not expect Sissoko to play the full 90.
Quoted by Le10Sport, Deschamps said: “Moussa’s fine. He is ready as others. He has athletic ability above average. There are no worries.”
His comments are a positive for Spurs, and the midweek workout has done his new team a favour, with the Frenchman coming through it unscathed.

Sissoko could be called upon with Tottenham potentially looking to change up their team selection due to Erik Lamela returning late from international duty with Argentina.
Heung-Min Son is another option for Mauricio Pochettino, who will be hoping his side can show the same form which led to them demolishing Stoke 4-0 at the Britannia Stadium at the end of last season.
