Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch has told Football.London that the fourth official said to him that the first goal from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium should have been ruled out.

Tottenham got the better of Leeds 4-3 at home in the Premier League on Saturday.

It was one of the best and most exciting games in the league this season.

And, as you would expect, there was refereeing and VAR controversy.

England international striker Harry Kane scored the first goal for Tottenham.

It came in the 25th minute.

It was a controversial goal.

There appeared to have been a foul from Clement Lenglet on Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier, and Marsch has claimed that the fourth official told him as much.

Marsch said: “It’s a foul. The fourth official told me it’s a foul and then it goes to VAR but the goal is given. What am I meant to do? Freak out like I did against Brentford?”

Disappointing

In our opinion, Leeds United will be disappointed at the final result against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League today.

Now, of course, Spurs are a better team, and losing to Antonio Conte’s side is not a shame.

However, Leeds conceded two late goals to drop all three points in a match in which they scored three goals and played well.
