Everton are reportedly looking for new signings this summer.
According to the Liverpool Echo, new Everton boss Marco Silva wants to bring in four new signings this summer; a centre back, a left back, a central midfielder and a forward.
The Toffees outlined their intentions for a big summer when they sacked manager Sam Allardyce and director of football Steve Walsh, and landed Silva and Marcel Brands as their respective replacements.
After a disappointing season under Allardyce and previously Ronald Koeman, Everton need to be strong next term – and reports are nout outlining what Silva wants to do in the transfer market this summer.
The Liverpool Echo report that Silva is keen to bring in a left back and a midfielder first and foremost, but he is also keen to bring in a central defender and a forward to boost his Everton squad, which is already on the bulky side.
Everton may need to offload fringe players in order to bring in some signings, but the reports may add up to Silva bringing in real talent to bolster an Everton side which seemed to be going through the motions last season.
At left back, the Daily Star report that a £16million deal for Hertha Berlin’s Marvin Plattenhardt is set to go through after the World Cup is over, as he is currently in Russia with the German national team.
Sky Sports claim that Silva wants a reunion with powerful Sporting anchor man William Carvalho, and that pursuit may have been handed a boost by the midfielder attempting to terminate his own contract with the Portuguese giants.
Whilst a versatile forward may be wanted, The Times claimed in January that Silva had already spoken to winger Andre Carrillo about heading to Everton, whilst a host of central defenders have been linked in what would be a sensible summer from the Toffees after their spending spree in 2017.
