David Moyes has told Sports Report that West Ham have made offers for ‘four or five’ different strikers this month.
But the Scotsman made it clear that he wants to bring in a striker who fits the West Ham ‘model’ and hinted that they may have to go down the loan route.
West Ham recorded a deserved 1-0 win over Burnley yesterday to move ninth in the Premier League table.
After the game, the sale of Sebastien Haller was once again talked about and Moyes was asked whether they need to bring in another striker.
“The answer to that would be yes,” said Moyes. “I don’t want to bring in somebody who doesn’t fit the model I am trying to do.
“Maybe we have to try and bring somebody in for six months on loan. But we are trying. We have already sort of made offers or tried to get people maybe four or five already behind the scenes. None of them have to come fruition.
On whether he can give any names: “We never give the names. That’s wrong.”

There is nothing wrong with having Michail Antonio lead the line for West Ham, but there is that worry with his injury record.
If he falls to another muscle injury then there is no-one behind him to do the business, which would leave Moyes in a very tricky situation.
Therefore, those in the West Ham boardroom need to back Moyes and the very positive start he has made to life in East London, for a second time.
