Everton fans want a new manager this summer and Mikel Arteta has been suggested as a possible target after being linked with Arsenal.

Everton have endured a topsy turvy season with Ronald Koeman axed and eventually replaced by the hugely unpopular Sam Allardyce.
The former England boss has done the job of lifting the Toffees out of the relegation zone and into what is likely to be the highest position they can finish, eighth.
But supporters are already fed up with the style of football on display at Goodison Park and Allardyce is under pressure to keep his job beyond the summer, particularly after the now infamous survey faux pas.
A host of names have been linked with replacing Allardyce in the Everton hotseat including Manchester City assistant and former Blues star Mikel Arteta.

The Spaniard, who has been linked with replacing Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, played over 150 games for the Toffees and knows the club inside out.
So he would know exactly what type of player the Goodison Park faithful want to see and could use his connections at City and the Gunners to bring in four players who would improve the Everton team.

Fabian Delph
Versatile Delph managed to work his way into Guardiola’s side by becoming a makeshift left back. But he is an energetic box-to-box midfielder at heart. City are likely to go again in the transfer market this summer with nothing left to chance as they aim to defend their title and Delph could be available with Everton in need of someone who offers more than Morgan Schneiderlin in central midfield. It would also mean the Toffees had quality cover for Leighton Baines.
Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi
It is all change at Arsenal this summer and a new manager will more than likely see the likes of Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi leave the club at the right price. Everton need pace and agility up front alongside Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is popular but lacks cutting edge. Wel

beck would be a big upgrade on the current options Everton have up front while Iwobi needs a change of scenery to rediscover the form which made him one of the most exciting prospects in the Premier League.
The pair will also be attracted by the success of former Gunners teammate Theo Walcott on Merseyside and Everton’s ambition to challenge the elite.

Phil Foden
One of the hottest prospects in Europe, Man City youngster Phil Foden shot to prominence by playing a key role in England Under 17s’ World Cup win last year. Foden was promised game time by Guardiola but has only featured four times and could possibly be lured to Goodison on loan by the prospect of regular first team football under someone Guardiola trusts in Arteta.
