Rangers have today confirmed that former players Andy Little and Peter Lovenkrands are both returning to the club as coaches, alongside Brian Gilmour and Stephen Wright.
The Gers have been going through major changes in 2017, with Pedro Caixinha coming in to replace Mark Warburton as manager in March, with David Weir and Frank McParland also leaving the club.
A Director of Football is still expected to arrive this summer, whilst Jonatan Johansson returned to Ibrox to join Caixinha’s coaching staff alongside Helder Baptista, Pedro Malta and Jose Belman.
More changes have arrived today though, as Rangers have confirmed on their official website that four ex-Gers players are coming back to Ibrox in coaching roles.
Peter Lovenkrands celebrates scoring for Rangers
Former winger Peter Lovenkrands, something of a fan favourite at Ibrox, is returning in a part-time capacity with the Under-15 side, as the Dane looks to further his coaching career after missing out on a role in Caixinha’s staff.
Ex-Rangers defender Stephen Wright may have only made seven appearances for the club, but he has been handed a prominent role in the youth setup, becoming the club’s Head of Intermediate Academy and School Coach, after a spell with the Fife Elite Football Academy.
Andy Little celebrates scoring for Rangers
Andy Little, hit 38 goals in 89 games for Rangers, and returns to the club as a coach with the Rangers Childen’s Academy, operating on a part-time basis with kids ages eight, nine and ten as he gets started on coaching at the age of just 28.
Finally, Brian Gilmour also returns with the Intermediate Academy, and winger Lovenkrands took to Twitter this afternoon to share his delight at landing a job with his former club…
