Arsenal, Middlesbrough, West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion players feature in the list of average players who earn more than Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker.

Tottenham's Kyle Walker in action

According to The Telegraph, Manchester United and Manchester City are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that the England international right-back earns less than £70,000 per week, and that he would get a pay-rise if he moved away from Spurs.

Below we look at four average players/players who are not as good as Walker who earn more than the 26-year-old.

Bournemouth's Jack Wilshere

Jack Wilshere (Arsenal/Bournemouth)

According to The Times, Jack Wilshere is earning £80,000 per week at the moment. The England international midfielder is currently on a season-long loan deal at Bournemouth from Premier League rivals Arsenal. Is the 25-year-old, who has suffered with injuries throughout his career, a better player than Walker? No.

Alvaro Negredo of Middlesbrough

Alvaro Negredo (Valencia/Middlesbrough)

Alvaro Negredo is on loan at Middlesbrough from Valencia. The former Manchester City striker is a good player, but is he worth £100,000 a week? According to The Times, that is how much the 31-year-old striker, who has scored nine goals in 35 Premier League matches this season, is earning at the moment. Boro, if you did not already know, will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

West Bromwich Albion's Nacer Chadli in action

Nacer Chadli (West Bromwich Albion)

Nacer Chadli failed to make a huge impact at Tottenham Hotspur and left for West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2016; now the winger is earning more than Walker. According to The Telegraph, the 27-year-old, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, earns around £75,000 a week at the Baggies.

West Ham's Andy Carroll reacts

Andy Carroll (West Ham United)

Just like Wilshere, Andy Carroll has had injury issues, and, according to The Times, he is on £80,000 per week. That is quite a lot of money for a striker who has scored just seven goals in the Premier League this season. True, injuries and fitness have affected the 28-year-old striker, but is the former Newcastle United and Liverpool player better than Walker, who is one of the best right-backs in Europe? No.
