Harry Maguire told The Overlap’s official YouTube channel that he has been ‘fortunate’ to play alongside someone like Liverpool defender, Andy Robertson.
The Manchester United defender started to make a name for himself when he played alongside the Liverpool 27-year-old at Hull City.
Added with Robertson, the England defender has also played alongside Ben Chilwell when at Leicester City and now with Luke Shaw at Old Trafford.
And Maguire shared how ‘fortunate’ he has been to play alongside such ‘great’ left-backs, as Gary Neville reacted to the left-footers he has played with.
“I feel my relationship with my left-back throughout my career, I have always had a good one,” said Maguire.
“I built a really good one with Ben Chilwell at Leicester. I had a very good one with Andy Robertson at Hull.”
Neville responded and said ‘you have had some decent left-backs, haven’t you?’.
To which the Manchester United defender added: “I have been fortunate to have played with some great left-backs. For me, the three now, all three have developed as the top three in the Premier League.”

Whilst Robertson hasn’t had the best of seasons, he did end the campaign in a strong fashion and when Liverpool needed him most.
But if Shaw can continue the form he has shown this season during these coming campaigns then Liverpool and Manchester United may have some fiery debates as to who the best left-footer is.
Until then, Roberson should hold that crown for what he has produced on Merseyside since his move from Hull City.
