The 2026 World Cup kicks off in North America this week, and Fortnite are getting involved in the event.

The ever-popular Battle Royale game has often worked with big-name celebrities and companies like Disney to release skins in the past, and they are now set to feature at least one player competing at the World Cup.

Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Christian Pulisic, for the USMNT fans, are perhaps some of the biggest names competing at this summer’s tournament, but it is Vinicius Jr. who has been given his own skin inside Fortnite.

Fortnite releasing Vinicius Jr Brazil skin ahead of 2026 World Cup

The company broke the news via their YouTube channel this week, sharing a short video that showcased two Vinicius Jr. skins.

One shows the winger in a traditional Brazilian soccer jersey, while the other has him wearing a black jacket, black pants and a belt.

The cosmetic package will feature two skins, two back blings, two pickaxes, an emote, and a spray.

They are set to be available to purchase once the Fortnite Item Shop resets at 8pm ET on Wednesday, June 10.

Exactly how many V-Bucks the set will cost is yet to be confirmed, though that will be revealed later today once the skins are in the Item Shop.

The World Cup kicks off on June 11 in North America and will run up until the middle of July.

Whether any more big-name footballers will work with Fortnite to have a skin released during the tournament is yet to be confirmed.

The company have released football-themed skins in the past, but they have been placed onto generic characters, rather than actual real-life footballers being put into the game.

Meanwhile, for those who are fans of Brazil and Vinicius Jr., their first game of the World Cup is set to take place against Morocco on June 12.
