Everton have been linked with a move for RB Leipzig star Emil Forsberg.

Everton’s squad is in serious need of a revamp and the appointment of Marco Silva as manager and Marcel Brands as director of football will give Toffees fans plenty of encouragement. Now, a one-in one-out move is reportedly in the pipeline that would prove an excellent bit of business.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato claim Everton are interested in landing Sweden World Cup star Emil Forsberg from German side RB Leipzig this summer, despite a slightly below-average 2017-18 campaign.
The 26-year-old only managed five goals and four assists throughout last season, showing a shadow of the form that saw him find the back of the net eight times and create 22 goals the season before.

It remains to be seen how much Everton would have to spend to land Forsberg – who played alongside loanee Ademola Lookman last term – but the 37-cap has four years remaining on his contract.

Landing Forsberg would be an excellent buy, especially when you consider that a big chunk of the transfer fee wand wagex could be paid for by the sale of fleet-footed winger Yannick Bolasie.

Bolasie, 29, failed to reignite the kind of form that saw him earn a £30million move to The Toffees from Crystal Palace, after a long-term knee injury that saw him suffer an anterior cruciate ligament problem.
Though the DR Congo international has worked hard to rediscover his fitness, but he is yet to show he can still reach his previous best. Up for sale, Bolasie could be offloaded.
Replacing the former Bristol City star with Forsberg would be an excellent bit of business by Silva and Brands, with Forsberg in the prime of his career and three years younger than Bolasie.
He offers a bit more than the skillful Bolasie, too. Able to play anywhere in the final third, Forsberg is not as quick but much more creative and is capable of finding the back of the net. He possesses that special something.
