Juventus are set to dash Jurgen Klopp’s hopes of signing reported Liverpool transfer target Paulo Dybala with the forward due to pen a new four-year contract, according to Sky Italia.
The Serie A side have sought to agree new terms as Dybala is otherwise a free agent from next summer. The striker last extended his deal with the Turin outfit in 2017 after two strong seasons with the Bianconeri.
Dybala scored 30 goals plus 18 assists over his first two top-flight seasons with Juventus. He recorded his best year in front of the net after signing a new deal, with 22 goals during 2017/18. The Argentine may register his best since this term after scoring five in 13 games.

Juventus reach agreement on personal terms with Dybala
Juventus have reached an agreement with Dybala over the terms of his new contract at the Allianz Stadium. He will pen a four-year deal worth €8m-a-season (£130k-a/w), with €2m (£1.7m) in bonuses. The clauses relate to team results, his performances and appearances.
The Bianconeri hierarchy sought to include appearance-related clauses as the 28-year-old has suffered with injuries in recent seasons. But the bonuses become guaranteed cash in a €10m-a-season (£163k-a/w) deal after 2022/23 if he achieves the criteria next term.
Dybala’s agent is already in Turin to thrash out the final bureaucratic details of the contract with Juventus, dashing any hopes Liverpool had of securing a free transfer next summer.

Liverpool hopes of Dybala transfer over with new Juventus contract
Reports by Calciomercato this month claimed Liverpool were tracking Dybala’s contractual situation at Juventus with a view to a free transfer once his current deal expires next year.
However, TuttoMercatoWEB noted the Bianconeri’s €32m (£27m) former Palermo star’s preference is to sign a new contract in Turin. Now, it appears it is only a matter of time.
Liverpool boss Klopp would no doubt have liked to add Dybala to his attack had Juventus not offered a contract. The 28-year-old is playing a key role in the Bianconeri unit this term. Massimiliano Allegri is also letting him to show his leadership as his occasional captain.
Former Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently dubbed Dybala a ‘formidable talent’, while speaking with Tuttosport, as well. But one that is unlikely to wear red in 2022.
