Former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Jay Bothroyd has stated on Twitter that Diogo Jota is a very good signing for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

The former Wolves striker seems to rate the 23-year-old Portugal international winger highly.

Liverpool announced on their official website on Saturday that they have signed the winger from Premier League rivals Wolves.

According to BBC Sport, Liverpool will pay £41 million to the Wanderers as transfer fee for the 23-year-old Portugal international winger.

Is Diogo Jota a good signing for Liverpool?

Jota scores goals and creates chances for his teammates, and the winger has done well, both in the Premier League and in the Europa League.

According to WhoScored, the winger scored seven goals and provided one assist in the Premier League, and scored six goals in the Champions League for the Wanderers last season.

The 23-year-old is not going to go straight into manager Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup, but he will give the German a valuable option on the substitutes’ bench.

Given that Jota is only 23 years of age, he has the potential to further improve and develop his game under Klopp in the future.
