
West Ham fans have taken to Twitter in anger, disappointment and frustration – a theme all too common following Grady Diangana’s sale.
This time another former Hammers academy player finds himself in the spotlight – Toni Martinez.
The Spanish striker left east London for FC Famalicao in 2019 having spent three years with West Ham – initially in their development ranks.
Martinez has impressed at the Portuguese club, scoring 14 goals in 39 games along with six assists.
And the 23-year-old’s efforts appear to have landed him a place at the nation’s biggest club, FC Porto.

The 2019/20 Primeira Liga winners are close to signing the attacker, according to Portuguese news outlet Record.
Given the recent exit of Diangana, and another ex-academy player Jeremy Ngakia, this news hasn’t gone down well with fans on Twitter.
There certainly was an argument to keep the former Valencia striker at West Ham.

He netted 25 goals in 29 games for the Iron’s U23 squad but was afforded just three first-team appearances before leaving England.
