Premier League champions Manchester City paid £4m to sign Morgan Rogers from Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion this summer.

Manchester City coach Paul Harsley has admitted that Morgan Rogers has shown ‘flashes of real quality’ since joining the Premier League title-winners from West Bromwich Albion, speaking to the club’s official website.
The Baggies lost two of their most exciting young talents in the summer. After teenage striker Louie Barry left the Midlands for La Liga champions Barcelona, Rogers himself joined a reigning league champion.
According to The Telegraph, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City paid a staggering £4 million for a player who has just one first-team appearance to his name.
The talented forward, who can play on both flanks, has a long way to go before he can think of challenging Bernardo Silva, Kevin de Bruyne and co for a place in Guardiola’s first-team plans but he it seems that he is already making a big impact behind the scenes.
“He’s already played quite a lot of football. He’s growing into his body still, but at times you see flashes of real quality,” said Harsley, head of the Elite Development Squad at City.
“We’ll keep working with him and I’m sure the best is yet to come.”

Rogers himself is understandably loving the chance to work alongside some of the most talented youngsters in English football, admitting that he is ‘enjoying every moment’ at the space age City Football Academy.
It remains to be seen whether Rogers can follow Phil Foden into the first team or whether he will be sold on for a profit like Brahim Diaz and Rabbi Matondo.
