Leeds United star Pablo Hernandez has backed his former club Valencia to win against Manchester United, as quoted on the Spanish outfit’s official website.

Hernandez, who is a key player for Leeds and has been playing well for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season, believes that Valencia will win against United away from home at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.

The La Liga outfit will take on the Red Devils in the Champions League Group H this evening.

The 33-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, believes that his former club Valencia will pick up all three points from the encounter.

Hernandez told Valencia’s official website when asked about being the only Los Che player to have scored against United in an official match: “An honor.

“It’s an anecdote because great players in the history of Valencia CF have scored goals in important matches and stadiums, but the circumstances have wanted me to be the only one at the moment.

“Let’s hope I’m not the only one soon. Valencia CF can perfectly get the win against United.”

Delight

Leeds fans will be delighted with Hernandez’s prediction, and will hope that it does come true.

The West Yorkshire outfit and United are big rivals, although they have not been in the same division since 2004.

While the Red Devils have won the Premier League and the Champions League in recent years, Leeds have been playing in the Championship for a while.
