The Reading defender is a player Leeds could have surely signed.
This evening Leeds United take on Reading in a clash between two teams fighting for promotion. It is fair to say the success of both sides has come as a surprise to many – with the impact of new managers clearly having a part to play in their so far brilliant campaigns.
However, the introduction of new centre-backs has also been pivotal.
Reading’s Liam Moore looks dejected after the game
Leeds fans are very happy with their loanees Kyle Bartley and Pontus Jansson – but Reading got their new star defender in permanently.
Liam Moore joined from Leicester in the summer and, of course, had previously been linked with Leeds.
It was at the start of last season that Uwe Rosler was said keen on signing Moore, a player he had on loan at Brentford.
In the summer, he became available on a permanent transfer and Leeds fans wanted the club to make a move, as reported by HITC.
But Leeds never recorded an interest and Moore joined Reading in August.

Of course, Leeds are happy with their current defensive pair but Moore would have also been an excellent defensive addition at the club – and a permanent one rather than on loan.
Tonight, Leeds must try getting the better of the former England under-21 international and prove they were right not to follow up on his signature this summer.
