The Frenchman does not feel the Tottenham Hotspur forward can be compared to the Real Madrid man just yet.

Former Totteham Hotspur winger David Ginola has been speaking to Talk Sport about the club’s current top-scorer Harry Kane.

The England international’s ongoing brilliant form has seen comparisons made with Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and, with the two men set to go head-to-head this evening, the talk has only intensified.

“You can’t compare Harry Kane to Ronaldo…yet,” Ginola told Talk Sport. “Even their qualities are not the same. Ronaldo is about pace. I’m not saying that Kane is slow but he is not the same kind of player as you can see on the pitch.”

But when asked who the best centre forward in Europe is right now, Ginola admitted that Kane “is there”, among the very best and seemingly destined to become a superstar for club and country over the next few years.

There is no doubt that Tottenham have one of the finest strikers currently playing the game and with 112 goals in just 177 senior appearances – including 13 in 12 this season – he is already setting records left, right and centre.

At just 24, Kane is a few years off his peak and he could well step into the space left by Ronaldo when the Portuguese international hangs up his boots.

With his feet firmly on the ground and a long-term contract at Tottenham, Kane’s future looks extremely bright and one day pundits will be comparing the next big thing to him, rather than the other way round.
