Former Tottenham Hotspur owner Alan Sugar has stoked rivalries with West Ham United with the two clubs to meet later this month.

Spurs came out on top 3-2 in the Premier League two weeks ago at the London Stadium.
And Mauricio Pochettino’s side were also drawn to face their London rivals at Wembley in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup on October 25th.
Lord Sugar has been stoking the fire ahead of that match on the set of his hit TV show The Apprentice by winding up Hammers vice-chairman Karren Brady.

The pair regularly exchange football banter on set and despite receiving the odd kick from Brady, it appears Sugar is winning if his comments are anything to go by, as reported by The Mirror.
“We were talking about something being empty on the show,” Brady told The Mirror.
“And Alan said, ‘It’s as empty as West Ham’s trophy cabinet.’
“I wear a nice top and skirt and normally trainers under the table but not this time. My stiletto went bang into his ankle.”

The Hammers have not won a major trophy since their FA Cup triumph in 1982, but were unfortunate not to add to that in the epic final of the same competition back against Liverpool back in 2006.
There is no disputing Spurs have more silverware in their trophy cabinet.
But Sugar’s comments could be the perfect motivation for the Hammers to ensure they have a chance to add to said trophy cabinet by knocking the North Londoners out of the league cup in a couple of weeks.
