Tottenham Hotspur’s Vincent Janssen has struggled to adapt to English football so far this season.

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp offered his opinion on Spurs striker Vincent Janssen’s current struggles when speaking to Sky Sports, claiming that things could get even worse for the Dutchman when Harry Kane returns, as quoted by The Sport Review.
The former AZ Alkmaar hitman has struggled to adapt to life in England’s top-flight since his £17 million move to White Hart Lane, scoring just twice in 14 outings so far this season.
Redknapp, who spent two-and-a-half years at Tottenham, told Sky Sports how Janssen could struggle even more when Kane returns, as quoted by Sport Review:

“The Tottenham fans talk about whether he is going to be another Soldado. The problem he has got is that Tottenham play with a system with just one up front. That one will be Harry Kane. He looks to me to be the kind of guy with his shape that needs to play regularly.”

Much was expected of the the 22-year-old when he made the move to Spurs in the summer after a stellar season in the Eredivisie last term that saw him score 27 goals in 34 outings.
With the intensity of the Premier League seeming to take its’ toll, however, Janssen’s displays over the coming weeks and months will be highly scrutinised, and he will be hoping to avoid the same fate as Roberto Soldado by proving himself as a trusted member of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
