Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday earned them bragging rights over their local rivals, at least until their next meeting at Wembley in February.

Several Gunners players have used social media as the platform to taunt Spurs, with man of the match Mesut Ozil and goalscorer Shkodran Mustafi among those to tweet that ‘North London is red’.

Their celebrations have been a little over the top considering that Tottenham remain above them in the Premier League table, and finished higher than Arsenal last season.

Former Spurs midfielder Micky Hazard reminded the Gunners of their current standing in the North London pecking order with this genius response to Arsenal’s posturing.

Hazard is of course referring to the fact that Arsene Wenger’s men will be in Europa League action on Thursday when they travel to the Bundesliga’s bottom side Cologne.

Tottenham are also in Germany this week, facing Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League having already qualified for the knockout stages with victory over Real Madrid.
