The game could turn out to be an important one for Alli, restoring his confidence.
Alli was one of England’s more disappointing players at Euro 2016, given his outstanding Premier League form for Tottenham the preceding season.
He did not begin this campaign well for Tottenham either in the first three games of the season, and Alli may now feel to some extent he is back on track.
Tottenham have an important month with the Champions League season starting up, and the club will need him to get back to his very best.
