Former Rangers winger Vladimir Weiss could not resist the chance to stoke an old rivalry with Celtic.

Vladimir Weiss may be long gone from Rangers, but he still retains an affinity to the club – and a hatred of Old Firm rivals Celtic.

The Slovakian winger turned footballer to troll on Monday by deciding to rile Celtic supporters after UEFA’s Champions League draw.

Celtic were knocked out of the competition at the group stages, failing to win a single match, and will have focus on domestic competitions instead.

Weiss was quick to remind them…

Celtic fans were quick to slaughter Weiss in response, reminding him that unlike Rangers – they at least qualified for the competition.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are also eight points clear of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership table, with three games in hand.

Weiss got what he came for, posting a message to suggest he was pleased to reel supporters in and elicit some furious responses.

Weiss played for Rangers between 2010/11 on loan from Manchester City, helping them win the league title by a single point.

Now 27, he is playing in Qatar for Al Gharafa.
