Forrester was released from his Ibrox contract on Wednesday, having failed to feature under the new Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard.

Harry Forrester has wasted no time finding a new club after terminating his Rangers contract by mutual consent on Wednesday.
Within hours, Forrester was spotted brandishing the shirt of Iranian side Tractor Sazi, and the former Ibrox winger has since confirmed his move to the Middle East on Instagram.
“Excited for my a new challenge . Can’t wait to get started,” he posted.
Forrester spent two and a half years on Rangers’ books, helping them to the Championship title within five months of signing, but fell out of favour after the Gers’ Premiership return.
The Englishman, who spent the bulk of last season on loan with AFC Wimbledon, issued the following message to Rangers supporters on Twitter yesterday (Wednesday): “It’s a goodbye from me! What a privilege it was scoring goals in front of you and a packed Ibrox, will stay with me forever!
“I wish @RangersFC all the best and can’t wait to see u back where u belong!! I’m excited for my next challenge!”
Curiously, though, none of Forrester’s past-and-present Rangers colleagues have yet wished him luck – on social media at least – ahead of his new adventure, which sees him link up with the former Real Madrid manager, John Toshack.
The 27-year-old is likely to have found first team football hard to come by at Rangers after the recent additions of Jamie Murphy and Scott Arfield at Ibrox.
