Ex-Rangers forward Josh Windass looks to be on the move again as his post-Ibrox career fails to set the world alight, with Milwall reportedly launching a bid for the Englishman.

According to the Sheffield Star, the Lions have made an offer to his current club, Sheffield Wednesday, as he looks to move for the third time in three years.

Birmingham City, Preston North End, QPR and Fulham have all also been credited with an interest in Windass as clubs look to take advantage of Wednesday’s ongoing financial difficulties.

Windass scored ten times last season across all competitions after making his move from Wigan permanent.

The former Accrington star quit Ibrox soon after Steven Gerrard’s appointment as manager after not being guaranteed to play as the main striker in the Rangers side, moving to Wigan in the summer of 2018.

After 18 months with the Latics, he joined Wednesday on loan in January 2020 before signing a permanent deal the following September.

Rangers exit proving to be the right move – for the Gers

After throwing his toys out of the pram at Rangers and asking to leave, the Gers haven’t exactly struggled in the centre-forward area.

Alfredo Morelos has gone on to cement himself as a hero of the Rangers support and, incredibly, overtake Ally McCoist as the club’s record European goalscorer.
