Former Rangers midfielder Graham Dorrans insists there is “plenty more to come” after cutting short his time in Australia to return to Scotland – and the veteran thinks he’s proved his Ibrox injury woes are behind him.

Dorrans was signed by the Gers in 2017 but injuries derailed his Ibrox career and saw him spend much of his time as a Rangers player on the sidelines.

After leaving Ibrox to sign for Dundee in 2019, Dorrans moved to Australia last year to join former Rangers teamate Kenny Miller at Western Sydney Wanderers.

The former Scotland star “never missed a single session” following his Rangers departure and is now looking to find a new club in Scotland after returning home.

“I’ve plenty more to come. My time with Rangers was disappointing. I spent between 18 months to two years out injured,” Dorrans said, as quoted by the Sunday Mail.

“But I managed to get back playing at Dundee and my knee was fine. I felt good.

“I played every game and trained every day.

“I never missed a single session and that continued when I went out to Australia.

“The style of play that Kenny and the manager wanted suited me and made it enjoyable so it was good to get back playing.

“My knee is fine and I still have a lot to give over the next few years. I will take my time and see what the options are.

“I love playing football and I’m 34 now so I want to pick the right option.”

After returning to Scotland this summer, Dorrans isn’t likely to be short of options where the sign.

The ex-Rangers star would be a great addition to any number of SPFL sides and his experience would be a massive boost to most squads.

With his injury problems well behind him, it’ll be interesting to see where the former Rangers midfielder ends up.
