The Algerian spent three years at Ibrox, and could now return to the Scottish Premiership with Kilmarnock.

Former Rangers favourite Madjid Bougherra has told STV that a return to Scottish football could be on the cards.
Bougherra, who spent three years at Ibrox before moving to the Middle East, is a free agent after leaving Emirati side Al Fujairah in the summer.
Now 33, the Algerian has held talks over a move to Rangers’ Premiership rivals Kilmarnock, whose assistant manager is Bougherra’s old teammate Lee McCulloch.

But he admits that while a move to Rugby Park is an option, he does have other possibilities overseas.
“I’m hoping to get my future sorted soon,” Bougherra told STV. “Kilmarnock is an option in Scotland and I have other possibilities including one in Australia.”
Born in France, Bougherra first landed in Britain a decade ago, during a loan spell at Crewe Alexandra, and moved to Sheffield Wednesday later in 2006.

But having impressed in his first six months at Hillsborough, Bougherra was snapped up by Charlton Athletic – then a Premier League side – and sold on to Rangers in the summer of 2008.
Though never far from controversy, the roving centre-back proved a popular figure at Ibrox, where he won league titles and a domestic cup in each of his three full campaigns.
