After successive goalless draws in the Scottish Premiership, Steven Gerrard’s Rangers host Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Wednesday’s Cup clash.

Lee McCulloch has claimed that Rangers need Steven Davis and Ryan Kent to step up as they prepare to face Kilmarnock in tonight’s Scottish Cup clash at Ibrox, speaking to the Glasgow Evening Times.
Rangers have failed to score in each of their last two games after the thrilling 4-2 win away at Aberdeen, playing out goalless draws away to Kilmarnock and at home to St Johnstone.
Manager Steven Gerrard was furious about their dull stalemate against Tommy Wright’s side on Saturday with The Saints arguably unfortunate not to take the three points at Ibrox.
So Rangers will be hoping for a much improved attacking performance as they take on Kille again, this time in the cup. And McCulloch believes Davis and Kent are two players who must prove their worth.
“Steven has changed the Rangers team quite a lot at times this season, sometimes that has been enforced through suspensions or injuries, and he will be looking at his creative players, the likes of Ryan Kent and Steven Davis, to really have an impact tonight,” said the former Gers captain.

“There was a lack of cutting edge about Rangers at the weekend as they drew with St Johnstone at Ibrox and the manager clearly wasn’t happy with the performance.
“Rangers can’t afford a repeat tonight.”
Fortunately for Rangers, their hopes of progressing to the next round has been substantially boosted by the return of top scorer Alfredo Morelos, who missed the draws with Killie and St Johnstone after being sent off for the fourth time this season against Aberdeen.
