Nottingham Forest secured one of their best young talents to a new deal yesterday. Scottish youth international Oliver Burke has signed on the dotted line of a new deal at the City Ground.
The talented winger has signed a new four-and-a-half year deal at the club which will keep him at the club in the long-term.
His new deal caught the eye of plenty, including one former Forest winger.
Paul Anderson initially joined Forest on loan from Liverpool in 2008 and signed a permanent deal at the club the following year.
His career at Forest started in fine fashion but after two seasons as a regular he suffered from injuries and in 2012 he was sold to Bristol City.
A spell at Ipswich Town followed but he is now with Bradford City – where he is currently fighting injury again.
He took to Twitter to pass on some advice to Burke – about staying at Forest:
Burke has made an excellent impression on the first-team this season and has deserved the new deal that has been handed to him.
Blisteringly quick and with an eye for goal he is a devastatingly effective player who should have a bright future with Forest.
