Former Newcastle United and Sunderland prospect Paul Woolston is reportedly on trial at Manchester United.

Woolston is without a club at the moment, having left Premier League side Newcastle at the end of last season.
The Magpies released the 20-year-old goalkeeper from their Under-23 side in the summer transfer window.
Back in March 2018, Woolston revealed to The Hartlepool Mail that he was released by Sunderland when he was little, and he then moved to rivals Newcastle.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper was an unused substitute during United’s Under-23 side’s match against their Middlesbrough counterparts on Sunday.

According to The Manchester Evening News, United want to make Woolston part of their Under-23 team, but the young goalkeeper is claimed to be open to heading abroad.
It remains to be seen if Woolston and United agree on a deal, but what a story it would be for the 20-year-old if he becomes part of the Red Devils, who are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are an European giant, after being released by Sunderland and Newcastle.
