LeBron James’ 10-point streak was in serious jeopardy on Monday night.

LeBron James had only 6 points with 8:03 left in the fourth quarter as the Phoenix Suns were blowing out the Los Angeles Lakers.

James’ 18-year long 10-point streak looked like it was going to come to an end but JJ Redick kept James in the game. James then aggressively tried to score to keep his streak alive.

James finally hit a three with 6:51 left in the fourth to hit his 10 points and extend his double-digit point streak to 1297 games.

Chandler Parsons calls out LeBron James

After James secured his 10 points, he was subbed out soon after.

Former NBA player Chandler Parsons didn’t like what he saw. Parsons suggested the Lakers are catering to LeBron’s legacy instead of focusing on the season.

Redick clearly kept James out there to keep his streak alive when the game was already over.

“This was the first time in my life I saw an older LeBron James who played and looked like his age.

“And after sitting out the night before against New Orleans, I thought this was a perfect night for him just to go crazy and kind of carry this team to a victory.

“And Luka [Doncic] went nuts early on. Austin Reaves was struggling and LeBron James, he did not look like himself, which for me is the first time I’ve ever seen him like that.

“So it was a nice gesture for, for, you know, JJ [Redick] to continue to keep him in there.

“And he definitely was hunting for it and he was not coming out till he got it.

“This just felt like the first, the first like step up on the way out and like kind of catering, catering to his legacy instead of focusing on this season in the game that was already over.

“Congrats, I guess. But like, I, I honestly, I didn’t love, I didn’t love it. And it was just obvious what he was doing.”

LeBron James was seen laughing with the Phoenix Suns bench

With Doncic having a big game early and Reaves struggling, the Lakers needed James to step up but he didn’t.

James had his worst game since returning from injury, which came on the heels of him resting the night before.

James finished with 10 points on 3-for-10 shooting from the field and 1-for-4 shooting from three.

To make matters worse, JJ Redick tried calling a play for James who was laughing it up with the Suns bench with the Lakers down 21. The Lakers ended up using a timeout and Redick seemed upset with LeBron.
