Former NBA champion Nick Young will step into the ring against rapper Blueface in a celebrity boxing match set for May 2, 2026 in Miami.

The event has now been officially confirmed by organizers, even though earlier indications pointed toward a March or April date.

The announcement finalizes a matchup that has been discussed for years after an earlier attempt collapsed.

May date replaces early spring projections

Initial projections suggested the fight would take place in either March or April as negotiations were being completed.

Organizers have since locked in May 2, 2026, as the date for the fight in Miami, with Nothing But Sportz promoting the event.

The confirmed date brings structure to a rivalry that has lingered for almost half a decade since its first scheduling attempt.

Both Young and Blueface have previously signaled their willingness to settle matters inside the ring, but things never really came to pass.

Previous cancellation halted 2022 showdown

The pair were originally scheduled to meet in 2022 at Crypto.com Arena as part of the Social Gloves card.

That exhibition was canceled when Blueface’s license with the California State Athletic Commission remained unresolved.

Young, a 2018 NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, has publicly expressed interest in celebrity boxing on multiple occasions.

Blueface enters the bout with prior ring experience, including a 2021 win over TikToker Kane Trujillo, setting up a renewed attempt to stage the long-delayed contest.
