Former Manchester United hero’s unhappy career continues.

After a dream start to his career at Manchester United, there has been very little to shout about for Federico Macheda.
The forward is currently 26-years-old and playing for Serie B side Novara.
It has not been a good season for him so far, he has failed to score in all eight of his Serie B appearances – although did manage to net once in the Coppa Italia.

This is based on an average player ratings system, with Macheda graded a lowly 5.44 out of 10.
Macheda’s 2009 winner at Old Trafford against Aston Villa which swayed the title race in United’s direction could not seem further away right now.

Since leaving United he had a poor spell at Nottingham Forest, and spent two seasons at Cardiff.
Last season at Novara he seemed to be coming into some kind of form, scoring six times in 17 games.
He has failed to build on this, and Macheda faces a challenge perhaps even simply to keep his place in the Novara team.
